Extremely Active Member Group: Admins Posts: 1222 Member No.: 160 Joined: 22-June 04	My last 8080-based pc (1992-1994) spare board was used to extend IO ports, DRAM up to 128 kB and swap ROM with CMOS RAM of same pin-out. had protected mode, where user had more rights then system: there were switches which could block writing to extended memory - only reading. so, after loading "disks" from tape there were noway to damage them except power failure ;) Attached Image
