Trying to run NASM on WinASM, I'm new to nasm, but had some training in mips. But my current issue is trying to get WinASM to accept my nasm code.

How do you try to open file and what do you get instead of what you expect?
WinAsm is not intended to open just asm-file and assemble it - it must be included into project. Project file contains settings for all tools to build it properly.
To use NASM with WinAsm you have to use FASM Add-In (WinAsm Studio was for MASM only intentionally). You may prefer this package: http://www.winasm.org/winasm-studio-for-fasm-full-package.html , these examples: http://www.winasm.org/nasm-win32-examples.html and this help: http://www.winasm.org/fasm-add-in-english-help.html .

Thanks for the reply!
I'm extremely new to winASM, and I need to start learning it quickly.
There is not installer in the zip. winASM seems to open the gui when I run it.
So, if I want to run a simple Hello World, how would I go about it? What should I do first?
Because I don't know where to put the fasm addins etc.

thanks again.

Did you read NASM examples from WinAsm Studio.chm from nasm.win32.wa.zip?
If not yet, please do it, and let me know if you meet any more trouble.
