Windows 98™ & 98 Second Edition™ Utilities.
Here you will find useful utilties and enhancements for this neglected, unsupported, and often disliked Operating System.
The programs posted in this thread were designed to add some sort of extended functionality to Windows 98™ or correct the bugs SeaFarer has encountered with this Operating System.
As time progresses, new submissions will be posted, so look forward to new additions as they are made available.
Some background...
Over the years SeaFarer has had to deal with plenty of issues with this Operating System, which have been fully remedied after applying what was learned about MASM™, WinAsm Studio�, the Windows API™, and from the forums here since late 2005.
Most were related to design flaws in third party software, but two were with OEM system tray applets for sound card and volume control.
As SeaFarer continues to develop skill sets, some applications might be added. SeaFarer is still some distance away from this goal, so for now Sea lives with the bugs in third party softwares.

The software that you find here is designed specifically for Windows98™ & 98 Second Edition™ and all were crafted entirely in Assembly Language using MASM™ & WinAsm Studio�.
Some programs will operate on higher versions of Windows™ while others may or may not. Notations will be made when possible, but cannot be done so without your help. So please, if something does or does not work, let SeaFarer know by sending a Personal Message.
If you are running a different Operating System...
SeaFarer cannot and will not guarantee the software in this thread will work for you. Either way, use it as you wish in accordance with the documentation, and at your own risk.
All of these programs were thoroughly tested on multiple desktop computer systems and several laptops running Windows 98™
SeFarer even went as far as testing them with family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors that still use Windows 98™ and all have performed perfectly in many different environments.
Feel free to make requests for programs you cannot find anywhere else for this Operating System, or make suggestions for the things you like and dislike here, as well as report any bugs. However...
