Hi,

First, I want to thank you for this great tool. It saves me a lot of time when dealing with huge file (I often open files between 50Mo and 300Mo). And I love small apps (and in this case it is tiny) that can be simple put somewhere and run.
Well, HiEditor rocks! B)

After some days of use, here my suggestions /ideas:
- the program fails to open a file used by another process (which is writing into it). This is not convenient.
- regex support would be really useful (you can check out pcre.lib which is free, small, and is quite fast)
- a true column mode.
I say true because some editors claim to support column mode but only do what you can do in word pressing the alt-key.
What I call a true column mode is something like the ultraedit's one. You can insert, delete characters on all lines in one operation.

I also notice a small bug: the tab navigation buttons don't work (they simply do nothing).
I am running XP-SP2 if it helps (and of course the last version of HiEditor

Bye

This isn't a bug. These arrow buttons don't switch between tabs. If you have opened so many files that all tabs aren't visible at once, you can use the arrows to scroll the tab area horizontically.

Anyone that has never used a mutli-tabbed window that inserts tabs oustide the view area, could make the same mistake.
